The effectiveness of Horry Electric Cooperative’s outage reporting system, known as PowerTouch, depends entirely on the accuracy of the contact information the Cooperative has on file for each member.
Telephone numbers are the key. “That’s why we periodically publish a reminder in South Carolina Living Magazine to encourage members to update their information in our files,” says James P. “Pat” Howle, executive vice president and CEO of Horry Electric. “Keeping the records as accurate and as complete as possible is an ongoing process.”
Members have a chance to win $500!
“To add emphasis and encourage more members to take action to update their information, we’re offering a chance for one lucky member to win $500,” says Howle.
Horry Electric members who complete and return a PowerTouch Member Information Update Form to the Cooperative between Tuesday, September 4 and Wednesday, October 31 will be entered into a drawing for $500. “All members are eligible,” says Howle. “All information on the form must be completed and returned by October 31 in order for the entry to be considered valid.”
The drawing for the $500 will be held Thursday, November 1.
PowerTouch Member Information Update Forms are available at both Horry Electric Cooperative office locations and will also be included in the September edition of South Carolina Living magazine, which will be delivered mid-month. Completed forms may be returned with electric bill payments or may be dropped off at the Cooperative’s main office on Cultra Road in Conway or by the office in Socastee.
