“Horry Electric Cooperative now has three plumbing contractors in the Horry County area who have signed agreements to work on behalf of the cooperative to install load management switches on new water heaters to qualify members for the H2O Select program,” says Ricky Lowder, senior marketing representative for Horry Electric.

Evans Builders joined forces with Horry Electric a little more than a month ago. “Although Mr. Evans hasn’t been working with us for very long, he’s very familiar with the program, ” says Gasque. Members can get in touch with Evans Builders at 843.650.2788.
The most recent addition to the network is Four Star Plumbing and Air Conditioning. “They’ve jumped right in and are excited about being a part of the H2O
Select program,” says Lowder, adding that the group has about ten vehicles on call 24/7. Like the other two in the network, Four Star can be reached by phone at 843.236.7142.

Why there is a network
“Water heaters rarely need replacing during our regular business hours, so we developed relationships with local plumbing contractors to help promote the H2O Select program and to help our members,” says Gasque, adding that members are not limited to using only the services of the contractors in the Horry Electric network. “These contractors are the only ones authorized to install the load management switch on our behalf, but a member can choose any contractor they want to install a new water heater.”
