Horry Electric crews still on the job

Horry Electric Cooperative crews are still working to restore power to roughly 1,000 members this morning, but expect everything to be back hot within the hour.   The majority of those impacted were served by a circuit out of the South Conway substation.  The remaining outages were scattered throughout the county.

A wind advisory remains in effect through 11 a.m. The ground is saturated and there is a chance trees may easily fall in heavy winds. Additional outages are possible.

If you do see a power line down, DO NOT TOUCH IT. The power may be out, but the line is still energized.

To report power outages, please call PowerTouch @ 843.369.2212.
